What better way to learn about UT Law than by visiting the campus? We would love to welcome you to campus and our admissions team and student ambassadors will work together to offer you a customized visit.
During your visit, you can tour the College of Law building with a student ambassador, attend a law school class, speak with a professor in your area of interest, meet with a financial aid advisor, and discuss employment with the staff of the Bettye B. Lewis Career Center.
Visits are offered Monday through Friday from mid-September to mid-November in the fall, from mid-January to mid-April in the spring, and on a limited basis during the summer term. From McGhee Tyson Airport to Volunteer Hall parking garage (across the street from UT Law). McGhee Tyson Airport has eight major airlines serving nineteen non-stop destinations including: Atlanta, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Orlando, Miami, New York, Chicago, Denver, Washington, and more.
From Nashville International Airport to Volunteer Hall parking garage (across the street from UT Law). Nashville International Airport has ten major airlines serving fifty non-stop destinations including: Boston, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New Orleans, Seattle, and more.
From Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport to Volunteer Hall parking garage (across the street from UT Law). Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport has four major airlines serving eight non-stop destinations: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Washington DC, Orlando and Tampa/St. Petersburg.
Parking Near Campus
Parking is most readily available in the Volunteer Hall parking garage on White Avenue between 16th Street and James Agee Street. Bring your parking receipt to the Office of Admissions for validation at a reduced cost.
The City of Knoxville also has a number of public parking facilities located in downtown Knoxville near many of the local hotels.
Transportation
The “T” bus system provides free transportation throughout campus, and a free trolley system connects the university with downtown Knoxville. The T-Link is an on demand shuttle service providing safe, nighttime transportation linking UT’s main and agricultural campuses and the Fort Sanders area as far as Grand Avenue (excluding the Cumberland Avenue Strip).
Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) operates buses, trolleys, and para-transit across the city. It carries more than 3.6 million passengers each year.
Local Accommodations
Visitors to the UT campus are eligible for special rates and packages with several nearby hotels. After you register for a campus tour you will receive a confirmation email with details on how to reserve a room at one of our partner hotels and receive special visitors rate.
Please be advised that rates are based upon hotel availability and are unavailable over high-occupancy, sold-out, or blackout dates. All home Tennessee football weekends are considered blackout dates.
